The focus of the inter school opportunities detailed below
is on enjoyment and participation rather than winning. Colleagues,
particularly in larger junior and Primary schools, are encouraged
to use these events as a way of giving children that aren't
regularly selected for school teams, an opportunity to represent
their school and enjoy the sense of achievement and excitement
that it brings.
We appreciate that due to the excellent activities made
available through WASPS and the Surrey Heath Primary School
Sports Association, some schools may not be able to access
all of the activities detailed below. We would therefore
encourage colleagues to access these opportunities in line
with their school's priorities. There will be no pressure
on schools to access all of the opportunities colleagues
should choose the sports that are most relevant to their
school.
